We offer a variety of services here at the Seybold Locomotive Works. We can do rebuilds, minor repairs, complete restorations, virtually anything. We focus and specialize in old classic HO steam locomotives, such as Mantua, MDC-Roundhouse, Rivarossi, Bachmann, and much more! In terms of repairing our speciality is running gear, i.e. drive wheels, frames, rods, bearings etc. We have a variety of techniques and tools to get the job done. We can paint locomotives but in flat colors such as black, white, silver, orange, brown, and oil rubbed bronze. We can also build kits! We've built 3 for ourselves.

  Now don't be detured, we do repairs HO diesels but we don't repair DCC or sound engines, that applies for steam and diesel. We specialize in Athearn in terms of diesels.

  If your engine just doesn't run right or you're not happy with it's performance and either you don't have time, don't know whats wrong, or don't know how to repair it, we will gladly give it a full servicing and make it a smooth, strong runnung engine. We are VERY picky about engine performance so you can be assured your engine will run fantastic when done!
