Not only do we rebuild, repair, and restore HO engines, we also do a variety of home made projects such as building auxiliary tenders, build oil bunkers, and modify and engines appearance.

 It was acknowledged that people were really liking the auxiliary tender Hyde had built for his private 2-8-0 #3. Soon after, people were asking us to build them an auxiliary tender. HO tourist railroads and excursions are very popular and to keep the modern feel many people want auxiliary tenders, and we make them! We prefer to buy old Mantua 3 axle truck tenders that normally go with Mantua's 2-8-2 and 4-6-2 however we will work with whatever you prefer. We take our time when making these and each one never disappoints! We do not custom paint them but we can paint them a solid color in your choice of black, white, brown, orange, oil rubbed bronze, silver, or we can just prime the shell and you can paint it whatever color you choose! These tenders run for $15 each.

   Being we are out in California and modern tourist steam locomotives out here burn oil, most of Hyde's steam collection has been converted to oil. We've made oil bunkers out of practically everything. We've done many in the past and prices on these do vary.   While we dont do it a lot, we can modify the external or cosmetic appearance of your engine by adding certain detail parts or rearranging the positions of certain fixtures.
